Announcement of Hiatus

I am taking a short break from writing E-Med(itations) for two reasons. First, my tech team, Matt Williams and company, and others have encouraged me to reach a larger audience, the greater Christian community. They are doing the lion’s share of the work to make this happen, but this also takes my time. Second, I need a break after ten years of writing and producing five E-Meds a week and three E-Meds per week this year.

As some of you know, the last 2-3 years have seen a lot of change for my wife and me, including a move across the country to the west coast. Resettling (still a work in progress) and determining how our ministry will look as the Lord leads us in new ways have been challenging. We are traveling more now that many COVID restrictions have been lifted. My work with Biblical Eldership Resources continues, though with lesser responsibility since I stepped down as founding director. We just returned from ten days in the country of Trinidad and Tobago, with many meetings with local churches and elders; in a few weeks, we head to New York and Ontario for three weeks of ministry. Additionally, significant time is spent in correspondence and locally, encouraging and helping believers.

I will return to writing E-Meds shortly, especially continuing the series on the Book of Psalms. Also, I will be finishing up preparations for publishing two past E-Med series in book form: An Introduction to Wisdom (based on Provers 1-9) and Preparation for Worship.

Meanwhile, I will post short blogs from time to time focusing on great truths from Scripture as a reminder to walk faithfully in the Lord.

Blessings in the name of our Magnificient Lord,

Chuck Gianotti

Chuck, thankyou so very much for your labors in the ministry for our Lord. I’m sure it has been such a blessing to many. Trust you and your good wife can take some time to “come aside and rest awhile” and be invigorated for what our Lord still has for you.

A Blessed Celebration of Our Lord’s Birth!

May God bless you with a wonderful celebration of our Lord's birth. What an amazing thing to contemplate as we look on the nativity scene on the mantle or 'neath the decorated tree. Eternity intersected time and space; the Creator entered his creation. "For a child...

In Praise of Feminine Beauty: A Mother’s Day Message

With each passing decade of motherhood, we gradually exchange perishable beauty for the imperishable kind. It starts when we are young, our bellies expanding to grow and nourish children. Stretch marks and loose skin arrive, perhaps to stay, sometimes accompanied by...

Pure Praise – Psalm 150

1Praise the Lord … 6Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. This psalm concludes the inspired biblical collection of one hundred and fifty psalms (also called poems, songs, or chapters). The six verses of Psalm 150 are saturated with thirteen...

Priesthood for “Average” Believers

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, then you are a believer-priest. That’s amazing! What?? Let me explain. In the New Testament (NT), there is no special clergy class that is holier than the rest of us, a cut above the rank and...

Superlative Praise – Psalm 149

1Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise in the congregation of the godly ones. Superlative praise, extolling God ‘to the max,’ is the theme of this psalm. There is nothing meager about this kind of praise. It is the antidote to an old and tired...
