Maxing Out E-meds

To get the maximum benefit from the eMeds, we suggest the following format for each day’s reading

1) Spend one minute in prayer, asking the Lord to prepare your mind for the reading of His Word.

2) Read the Scripture for the day, followed by the devotional thoughts/commentary.

3) Use the following three “mental crow bars” to stimulate your thinking and write down your answers in a journal:

a) What have I discovered about God?
b) What have I discovered about people in general?
c) What have I discovered about the relationship between God and people?

4) Spend a few minutes in prayer, using the suggested prayer at the end of the day’s devotional to prime your thinking. In your prayer, include ACTS (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication).

5) After reading each E-Med, click on the click on “Next post” link at the bottom. Then click on the bookmark icon at the top of the new page to mark your spot. For the first time, to use the bookmark feature, you will need to first register on the website, then go to the “Bookmark” page to learn how to use this facility.

6) Leave a comment to share your thoughts.

May these brief daily meditations encourage you in your walk with the Lord and develop a heart like David’s who wrote:

With all my heart I have sought You; do not let me wander from Your commandments. Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You. (Psalm 119:10-11)
