A Christmas Gift for You

by | Holidays

Merry Christmas! This is the time of year for gift giving, and we at E-Med(itations) want to GIVE YOU A FREE GIFT. Our devotional commentaries are available online for free. Did you know we have 10 complete series of E-Meds? You can begin with any of these from day one and follow the readings online, five days per week, for an entire year of devotional readings.

Our bookmark feature will help you keep track of your place. Look for the bookmark icon at the top of any page, or go here to learn more.

Why not forward the link (https://bible-equip.org/emeds/) to your friends, relatives, and small group members to encourage them in their spiritual walk?

Following are the series topics:

  • Names of God in the Bible
  • Gospel of Matthew
  • Upper Room (John 13-17)
  • Romans
  • Acts
  • 1 & 2 Corinthians
  • Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians
  • 1 & 2 Thessalonians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus
  • Hebrews
  • James, 1 & 2 Peter, 1, 2 & 3 John, Jude

In addition, check out these additional resources:

  • 52 Devotions on Worship (from Christ’s statements around His last days):

The best practice for using this series is to read one per week ahead of Sunday morning to prepare your heart for worship.

  • 52 Expositions on Wisdom (from Proverbs 1-9):

The first nine chapters of Proverbs will give you a comprehensive introduction to wisdom from God’s point of view. There are many self-help books in the stores, but the Proverbs in the Bible offer God’s perspective to help us avoid being a fool, a sluggard, or a mocker, and instead develop a life characterized by godly wisdom.

  • Devotional Commentary on the Book of Psalms (this is an ongoing series)

Too often, the Psalms are relegated to hospitals, funerals, sympathy cards, etc. But they help us grow in our knowledge of God and how to express our emotions to Him. The book of Psalms can be called “God’s handbook for godly emotions.” You can start these from the beginning and read one per week, or you can subscribe to follow them as they are published weekly.

  • From the Farm: Lessons about God from an ordinary life.

These stories and musings (sometimes humorous) creatively demonstrate God at work in an ordinary life. This will spur the reader to look for evidence of God in his or her life.

  • IMHO (musings on life, discipleship, worldview, and a variety of topics)

“In My Humble Opinion” comes from a weekly blog of issues akin to what the media calls “an opinion column,” but with a decidedly Christian worldview. This is an ongoing blog, and you can either start reading from the beginning or subscribe to read them as they are published.

  • Lessons on church leadership – a focused commentary on 1 Timothy.

This resource could be dubbed, “A Leader’s Commentary,” an exposition of the book of 1 Timothy with the pastoral leader in focus.

These are all available online for free. But if you would like them in print form (physical books), you can buy them in our online bookstore: https://bible-equip.org/bookstore/.

In addition to the above titles, we also offer the following print-only resources:

  • The Formation of the New Testament: Your No-Nonsense Guide to Understanding its Authenticity and Credibility.
  • Elders’ ShopNotes: Five Volume set to build up elders in the local church
  • Encouragement for Elders’ Wives: Brief articles for wives of men in leadership
  • Spiritual Maturity: A brief, concise workbook for evaluating one’s own spiritual growth based on biblical characteristics of elders.
  • Spiritual Greeting cards featuring artistic scenes of nature, gardens, mountains, and birds—with corresponding Scripture verses.

A Blessed Celebration of Our Lord’s Birth!

In Praise of Feminine Beauty: A Mother’s Day Message

With each passing decade of motherhood, we gradually exchange perishable beauty for the imperishable kind. It starts when we are young, our bellies expanding to grow and nourish children. Stretch marks and loose skin arrive, perhaps to stay, sometimes accompanied by...

Pure Praise – Psalm 150

1Praise the Lord … 6Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. This psalm concludes the inspired biblical collection of one hundred and fifty psalms (also called poems, songs, or chapters). The six verses of Psalm 150 are saturated with thirteen...

Priesthood for “Average” Believers

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, then you are a believer-priest. That’s amazing! What?? Let me explain. In the New Testament (NT), there is no special clergy class that is holier than the rest of us, a cut above the rank and...

Superlative Praise – Psalm 149

1Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise in the congregation of the godly ones. Superlative praise, extolling God ‘to the max,’ is the theme of this psalm. There is nothing meager about this kind of praise. It is the antidote to an old and tired...
