The Christian faith rises or falls on the historical credibility of the New Testament documents. In today’s post-modern culture, Christians and those searching for answers face numerous questions including:- Are the New Testament writings historically reliable? - How do we know those books are authoritative? - Who decided which documents to include? - What about the Apocryphal writings? - Can we know for certain that our Bible is accurate and complete? This book reduces the large volume of available (yet very technical) information on the subject by providing a concise analysis of the facts to help you gain confidence in the credibility of the New Testament canon.“Chuck Gianotti gives us a useful tool for students, parents, and Bible teachers, as well as those examining the Christian faith.” –Dr. Bill McRae, President Emeritus, Tyndale University College and Seminary in Toronto. |

Perceptions and images abound on the subject of gender-based roles. Abuse, privilege, power, oppression, culture, archaisms, sexism, patriarchal, freedom, empowerment, feminism, liberal, accommodation—these are all emotive words involved in heating up the dis-cussion. The issue of gender in the church has long been debated and many books have been written on this subject. So why another book? What would possess this author to step into the line of fire and poten-tially take shots from all sides? The answer is that the subject will not go away; as long as there are men and women striving to understand this wonderful subject, there will be discussion and debate. This book presents the fascinating, yet confusing subject of gender roles in the church, based on a serious investigation of Scripture. Rooted in a solid Old Testament background, building with the explicit New Testament revelation, and giving serious consideration to the opposing interpretations, this 200 plus page book deals with the various and opposing view points, both “liberal” and “conservative.” The author’s results affirm a strong distinction in the gender roles as a timeless truth, yet challenges the reader to relevant and reasonable application for today’s churches. While this view is not always popular, it is Biblical and is supported by careful study of the Word. | Author: Chuck Gianotti Cost: $14.95 U.S. (202 pages). “Like rock climbing, the Christian life is an adventure with much at stake. Many obstacles block our path and victory often seems beyond our reach.”In the Bible, the letters to Timothy were written to a young man from his mentor (Paul) as a how-to-do-it plan for the Christian life. One Grip Higher is an effort to explore the principles Paul sought to convey to young men. Contained within these pages are stories of struggle and victory along with suggestions for ways young men can press on towards the summit in their spiritual journey.”It is not my intention to offer the final answers to life’s struggles. My hope is to raise questions that will help you to continue growing in your relationship with the Almighty God of the universe!”As you read these pages, my prayer is that you will find yourself … One Grip Higher.”Jason Gianotti (from the back cover)
“Good book! I would recommend it to anyone working with young men. Very applicable spiritual concepts even for mature Christians.” Chris Arcadi (Campus Crusade for Christ, Rochester) |

This subject, fulltime ministry for the Lord in the local church, is significant and warrants in-depth biblical study. Why not just default to the standard “protestant” understanding and simply hire a pastor and let him do his thing. On the other hand, some think that if the elders are functioning properly, the need for a full¬time person is rendered unnec¬essary and unbiblical. But there is a middle ground espoused in Scripture that is critical for us today, one that is often over¬looked or dismissed. And that is the subject of this book. There are a number of reasons why this should not be taken lightly: 1. The church’s ministry is greatly impacted by its under¬standing of the nature of fulltime ministry. 2. The life work of one or more individuals is profoundly af¬fected. 3. A substantial amount of money is involved. 4. Very little has been written in depth on this subject. I believe the Word of God teaches that there is a place for those who are called by the Lord into fulltime ministry in the local church. Further, I believe the biblical picture differs from the standard protestant “Pastor” model. This short book presents a biblical understanding of fulltime ministry in the church, how it is to be viewed and how it can work in practical terms. Chuck Gianotti |
